1. Bánh Canh Cô Hai - Nha Trang's Famous Budget-Friendly Bánh Canh Spot
Bánh Canh Cô Hai is affectionately known as Nha Trang’s go-to place for a budget-friendly bánh canh meal. With a price of just 8,000 VND for a bowl, it’s perfect for those looking for a hearty meal without worrying about the cost. After over 30 years of operation, this little restaurant remains a favorite despite its modest size.
Interestingly, regulars joke that the owner refuses to raise prices. Starting with a bowl priced at 5,000 VND, it took nearly a decade for the price to rise to 7,000 VND, and more recently, it increased to the current price of 8,000 VND.
The restaurant offers two types of bánh canh: tapioca noodles and regular rice flour noodles. What keeps customers coming back is that, despite its low price, a bowl of bánh canh at 8,000 VND is still very generous and filling. Additionally, you can enjoy it with some bread, and if you wish, you can also order extra fish cake.

Bánh Canh Bà Thừa is one of the oldest bánh canh eateries in Nha Trang. Initially located at 10A Phan Chu Trinh, it later moved to 28 Tô Vĩnh Diện, where it remains today. What sets their bánh canh apart is the soft noodles, light yet flavorful broth, and toppings such as fish cake balls, shredded fish, and either fried or steamed fish cakes. The most unique feature is the fried fish cake served with thinly sliced onions, mixed with fish sauce, chili, and lime, giving it a salad-like twist. This distinctive dish is exclusive to the Bà Thừa chain, and it’s a must-try when you visit.
A special order costs 45,000 VND, which includes one bowl of bánh canh and a plate of fish cake. The regular bowl is priced at 35,000 VND. The restaurant attracts many visitors during peak tourist seasons, so if you ever find yourself in Nha Trang, be sure to check it out and experience the flavor.

4. Bánh Canh Cô Hà
Bánh Canh Cô Hà is conveniently located at the beginning of Phan Chu Trinh Street, making it easy to find. Although the space is small, it is neatly arranged and clean. The bánh canh here consists of noodles, fish cake, shredded fish, fried fish balls, and a generous amount of green onions. What sets this place apart is that the noodles are thin, similar to hủ tiếu, unlike the thicker variety commonly found in Southern Vietnam, made from rice flour. They are chewy and delicious with a unique taste. The fish cakes are made in-house, giving them a distinctive aroma that is far from the typical fishy smell. The broth is slightly thick, sweet, and light, a common description from many customers who have tried it. The restaurant does not serve herbs, but if you'd like more fish cake or bread, you can order it separately. In addition to bánh canh, they also serve fish cake sandwiches, which are incredibly tasty and filling, enough to keep you satisfied all day.
The prices are very reasonable: a regular bowl of bánh canh costs around 30,000 VND, a plate of fish cake is 22,000 VND, and a fish cake sandwich is 25,000 VND. Locals frequent this place often.
