3. Minh Tú Bánh Cuốn Shop
Minh Tú Bánh Cuốn Shop is located on Nguyễn Hậu Street, right across from Tân Phú Church, making it easy to find. This shop is well-known in the Tân Phú area, especially near Tân Phú Market, so if you're near the market and ask for Bánh Cuốn Minh Tú, locals will easily direct you to it.
The shop is famous for its egg bánh cuốn, which sets it apart from other bánh cuốn spots. The filling is rich with meat, and the rice paper is neither too thick nor too thin. Personally, I prefer it thinner as it’s less heavy. The dipping sauce is perfectly balanced with a sweet flavor, typical of the Mekong Delta region. The pork sausage is delicious, sourced from the renowned Bà Lý Tiên sausage factory in the area.
However, the shop’s interior can get a bit stuffy. If you visit between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, it tends to be crowded, and sometimes you might have to wait for a table.

Nam Việt Bánh Cuốn is located on Nguyễn Biểu Street. The shop is always busy, especially with customers ordering take-out. It’s not very spacious, and parking can be a challenge, although customers can park their motorbikes in the alley beside the shop. There’s a bánh cuốn station in the front where customers can watch the preparation process, which helps assure them about the cleanliness and quality of the food.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, from vegetarian to savory choices. The rice paper is thin and chewy, with the filling visible inside. The dipping sauce is perfectly balanced, and there’s pre-chopped chili for those who like it spicy. The price is around 40,000 VND for five pieces of bánh cuốn.

6. Bánh cuốn Hải Nam
One of the oldest bánh cuốn eateries in Ho Chi Minh City, Bánh cuốn Hải Nam is renowned for its smooth, thin, and stretchy rice pancake wraps, generously filled with two types of stuffing: cassava, meat, or shrimp with pork. In addition to thick slices of savory homemade grilled pork sausage, the crispy, golden fried shrimp cakes are another highlight here. Unlike many other establishments, Hải Nam serves its bánh cuốn with finely shredded lettuce rather than herbs. The homemade crispy fried shallots are golden, fragrant, and provide an irresistible crunch that many find addictive.
The cost for a plate of bánh cuốn ranges from 50,000 VND to 60,000 VND, excluding the sausage or shrimp cake. The restaurant also offers other dishes beyond bánh cuốn.
