The statue was donated by Father Thomas and brought in by helicopter. The statue of the Virgin Mary is made of cement, about 1 meter tall. It's placed on a cement pedestal mixed with natural boulders.

According to legend, in 1974, due to the war's influence, the statue was heavily damaged. It was forgotten for a long time, lying in the deep forest for decades. Several years later, locals found the statue had lost its head and hands. But it wasn't until 2002 that the Virgin Mary statue was restored. The statue garden was established in 2013. The village was formed after the Folk Wooden Statue Festival was first organized in Kon Plong. The event took place from March 5 to March 18, 2013. Through this, you can witness the cultural beauty of the local people.
