1. Measure pants
People with larger hips often struggle when buying pants. To find the right fit, compare the waistband width of the pants to the length of your forearm. Hold your forearm and insert it into the waistband of the pants. If your forearm fits snugly into the width of the pants, then those are the pants you're looking for.

2. Measure skinny jeans
Another common concern is whether you can fit your foot into skinny jeans. The best way to confirm this, besides trying them on, is to slide your hand through. If you can slide your hand through without any issue, then those jeans will fit you well.

3. Check your shoe size
You can measure the sole of the shoe using your forearm; if both measurements are equal, then these shoes are for you.

4. Measure socks
Another useful trick is learning how to measure socks. Wrap the sock around your closed fist. If the heel of the sock and the toe (toe area) touch each other without stretching, then that will be your accurate measurement.

5. Measure pant length by stretching
To determine if the length of a pair of pants is suitable for your body, simply take the pants and stretch them with the waistband pointing towards the ground. If the pull ends just below your chin, then that is the appropriate length.

6. Measure pant length through comparison
Fold the pants, place the bottom of the pants under your chin, and stretch the leg straight from your arm to your wrist. If the pants have the right measurement, they should not be longer than your arm or shorter than the length of your arm.

7. Measure the width of the pants hips
Measure pants using your shoulders. The smaller the difference between the two distances, the better the pants fit you.

8. Measure the width of a shirt
Try folding and measuring the shirt as shown, if the width of the shirt equals the length from armpit to armpit, then that is the right shirt for you.

9. Measure the waist of the pants
Use the neckline to measure the waist width of a pair of pants. Follow the diagram, if the two ends of the pants touch each other (outermost right side of the diagram), then you can wear the pants comfortably.

10. Measure pockets
The trick is to compare pockets with the length of our forearm and forearm in an L-shape. Pockets should not be too long for the forearm, arm to harmonize with your body size.
