1. Send audio, images, or videos that self-destruct quickly.
Now through Messages, we can swiftly send audio, images, or videos that automatically expire after 2 minutes. Simply use Messages, press and hold the Camera icon to select an image or video, or hold down the Microphone to send audio. They will all self-destruct after 2 minutes of being sent.
2. Reply to text messages from banners or alerts.
If you're using any app and receive a text message, you don't need to exit the app. Simply pull down the message notification, type your response, send it, and continue using the previous app.
3. Delete multiple conversations at once.
This feature existed in previous iOS versions. You can delete multiple conversations at once by selecting them: Tap on Edit at the top left > Check the boxes next to the messages you want to delete > then tap Delete at the bottom.

Previously, to share your location, you needed to use the Maps app, but now you can share your location right within the Messages app.
When in conversation, go to Details and choose Send My Current Location or Share My Location. If you choose to send your current location, a map will be sent to the recipient through the Maps app.
With Location Sharing, you can choose a duration to share your location with specific contacts: one hour, until the end of the day, or indefinitely. After the specified time expires, your location will disappear from the message recipient.
8. Set a topic name for group chats.
During group chats, you can go to Details and scroll down to see the Subject. Here you can name the conversation, and this title will be displayed to all participants in the chat.
9. Leave a conversation and not come back.
In the Details section, you can leave the group chat, and you can also choose Do Not Disturb to remain in the conversation but in silent mode.
