4. Do not allow pets to disturb or defile the altar of the God of Wealth. This is particularly crucial as the altar is placed on the ground, often neglected by pet owners.
5. The altar for the Master of the Earth and the God of Wealth must always be kept clean. It's advisable to regularly bathe the two gods with grapefruit perfume or diluted alcohol. On rainy days, place them in a clean basin for a 15-minute outdoor rain bath. Then bring them indoors, wipe them dry, spray perfume, and light incense for offerings, which will be highly efficacious.
6. After setting up the altar, continuously light incense for 100 days to accumulate Qi. Do not turn off the electric light on the altar, as the light will guide the descent of the deities to the mortal realm. Change the water daily during the 100 days. Light 3 incense sticks daily when seeking something. On the full moon day, the first day of the lunar month, and festivals, light 5 incense sticks arranged in the shape of a cross. Choose incense sticks that burn slowly - preserve the burnt incense, and after some time, a beautiful incense bowl will be formed, gathering Qi. On the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, withdraw the incense sticks and they will turn into gold. After they turn into gold, pour some alcohol over the ash.
7. Incense Offering Ritual: Typically, people light incense and recite prayers to the God of Wealth every morning when opening their business. However, some choose to do so in the evening. There's no specific rule for morning or evening rituals. It's best to select an auspicious time and the correct prayer to activate the energy flow more effectively.

8. Water: Before fetching water, clean the cups thoroughly. It's advisable to place 5 cups of water, filling them to about 1cm below the rim, avoiding overfilling to prevent spillage on the altar.
9. Flowers: Glass or ceramic vases are suitable for flowers. Opt for fresh flowers with buds and fragrance. Avoid using artificial flowers.
10. Fruits: Choose fresh, undamaged fruits such as apples, pears, bananas, oranges, or tangerines. Avoid using plastic fruits for worship.
11. Lanterns, Candles: Use candles or oil lamps instead of electric bulbs or flickering lights as they can create negative energy affecting the worship.
12. Rice, Salt: Keep the rice and salt used for worship, do not scatter them. Place the alcohol outside the door and sprinkle it inside – symbolizing bringing prosperity into the house.
13. One of the important notes when offering incense to the God of Wealth - Master of the Earth is the Prosperity after the offering. This is often overlooked by many, but we should pay attention to 'Prosperity after the offering should not be shared with outsiders, only for family members to consume'
