Making tofu stuffed with tomato sauce is not as difficult as it seems, yet not everyone knows how to keep the tofu intact and make the dish visually appealing and even more delicious. With the following 2 tips, you can easily add this dish to your family's menu!
Tip 1:

Ingredients:
(for 4 servings)
- Tofu: 5 sheets
- Lean pork (finely ground): 150g
- Tomatoes: 3 pieces
- Wood ear mushrooms: 3 pieces
- Chive blossoms: 1 stalk
- Dried shallots: 2 bulbs
- Seasoning: salt, pepper, cooking oil
How to make tofu stuffed with tomato sauce:
- Peel the dried shallots, then wash and finely chop them.
- Soak the wood ear mushrooms in hot water for quick expansion, then rinse and finely chop them.
- Chop the chive blossoms, discard the roots, wash thoroughly, and cut into short segments.
- Mix together all the finely ground meat with the chive blossoms, wood ear mushrooms, dried shallots, season with 2 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of bouillon powder, and 1 teaspoon of pepper.

- Wash the tofu, then cut each piece of tofu in half without separating. Stuff the meat mixture into the tofu, being gentle to prevent the tofu from breaking, continue until all tofu and meat are used.
- Once stuffed, place the tofu in a pan of hot oil and fry until golden brown, then transfer to a plate to drain excess oil.
- Clean and core the tomatoes.
- Sauté the tomatoes for about 2 minutes until soft, then mash them into a smooth mixture.
- Add the tofu to the tomato sauce and simmer for an additional 2 minutes. Season to taste and turn off the heat.
- Arrange on a plate, sprinkle with a bit of pepper and cilantro. Serve hot with rice.
Method 2:

Ingredients:
(for 4 servings)
- 4 large tofu sheets
- 200 grams of finely ground shoulder meat
- 1 stalk of green onions
- 1 bulb of shallot
- 3 large tomatoes
- Seasoning: Soup powder, sugar, fish sauce, chili to taste
How to make tofu stuffed with tomato sauce:
- Cut the tofu in half horizontally. Use a knife to cut a square shape in the middle of each small piece of tofu, use a spoon to scoop out the tofu inside the square shape without piercing the bottom of the piece.

- Clean the tomatoes, cut into small pieces.
- Finely chop the green onions, peel and finely chop the shallots.
- Mix the meat with a little scooped tofu until smooth. Add 2 teaspoons of soup powder, green onions, and mix well.
- Using a spoon, scoop the meat mixture onto the center of each piece of tofu. Gently press and flatten with the spoon. Repeat until finished.

- Heat cooking oil in a pan, stuff the meat-filled tofu and fry until golden on both sides, but avoid over-frying as it may dry out the tofu and meat. Then transfer to a plate.
- Sauté the diced shallots in a pot with a little cooking oil. Then, add the tomatoes and stir-fry. Add fish sauce, soup powder, and sugar to taste. Cook until the tomatoes are smooth.
- Next, add the fried meat-stuffed tofu. Simmer over low heat until the tofu absorbs the tomato sauce and seasoning.
