(Motherland) - The iPhone X made waves upon its 2017 release and there are many reasons why you should still opt for it today.
Do you remember the frenzy surrounding the iPhone X (or iPhone 10)? It was such a monumental leap that Apple completely skipped over the iPhone 9, jumping straight from iPhone 8 to iPhone X.
Despite being a few years old, the iPhone X still shines in 2023, especially if you're on a tight budget but seeking a device with a modern look and feel.
The iPhone X proved to be a worthy purchase upon its 2017 release and there are many reasons why you should still choose it today.
1. Reasonable Pricing

When it debuted on November 3, 2017, the iPhone X made headlines as Apple's first $1,000 flagship phone. Today, we're accustomed to $1,000 phones and some even reaching $2,000, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. But when the iPhone X launched, this price tag was truly shocking.
Fortunately, nowadays, you can buy an iPhone X for much less. Apple discontinued the iPhone X in 2018, and you won't find it new from any carrier anymore, but you can snag a used one for $200 or even less. Buying an iPhone X now means getting a great phone at a reasonable price.
2. Integration with iOS 16
One thing people love about Apple is their long-term support for older iPhones. And despite its age, the iPhone X can still handle iOS 16, which Apple released in late 2022 (with subsequent updates until 2023). While it won't support the iOS 17 update in 2023, remember that the iPhone X debuted in 2017.
Of course, you can enjoy many great hidden features in iOS 16, but your experience with the iPhone X won't be as exciting as with the latest iPhones. The A11 Bionic chip inside the iPhone X was a beast when it first came out, but it's not as powerful as it used to be.
You may feel the phone slowing down if you have too many apps open or when running graphics-intensive games like Genshin Impact or Asphalt 9: Legends.
3. Impeccable Design

While Apple has evolved the design of the iPhone since the debut of the iPhone X, this phone still maintains a modern appearance. The iPhone X was the first all-screen iPhone, the first iPhone to eliminate the Home button, and introduced us to the iconic notch of today's iPhones.
To be fair, Apple has made some design changes since the iPhone X. With the release of the iPhone 12, the screen size increased slightly from 5.8 inches to 6.1 inches and the phone's edges transitioned from rounded to flat, as we see today. With the iPhone 13, we have a slightly smaller notch. And with the iPhone 14 Pro, the notch has evolved into the Dynamic Island.
Despite all these changes, the iPhone X still looks anything but outdated, especially compared to the iPhone SE released in 2022. Even the standard iPhone 14 models of 2022 still have the notch, so you should rejoice in having a premium smartphone from 2017 at that price.
