Simple steps to update your address on Google across various devices
Google relies on your current location or address to deliver more relevant search results. It tailors results based on your location, ensuring they are more suitable to your current whereabouts. Searching for a restaurant in Los Angeles will yield different results than searching for one in Tokyo. Google determines your location based on factors such as your IP address, Wi-Fi connection, or Location History.
Essential Information
- Access the Google app or Google Maps app and navigate to 'My Stuff/Places' to update your address.
- If you're using a web browser, select 'Use precise location' at the bottom of any Google page to set it to your current location.
