You may not be aware, but since the initial release of Windows 1.0 in 1983, only 3 applications have been retained to this day. These are Notepad, Paint, and Calculator.
Notepad
Notepad is a simple text editing application integrated into the Windows operating system. First introduced in Windows 1.0 in 1983, Notepad has become a basic text editing tool and utility for many Windows users.

The key features of Notepad include the ability to open and save simple text files, display and edit ASCII and Unicode text, as well as support basic text formatting such as bold, italic, and lists. Although Notepad lacks many advanced features found in other professional text editing applications, it is very useful for quick and simple text editing.
Paint
Paint is a simple drawing application integrated into the Windows operating system. It first appeared in Windows 1.0 and has since become an essential part of later Windows versions.

Paint provides a simple and user-friendly interface for drawing and editing images. Users can utilize basic tools such as pencil, brush, colors, and shapes to create paintings and edit images. Although Paint lacks many advanced features found in other professional graphics applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, it is a useful tool for simple and quick tasks.
Calculator
Calculator in Windows is a built-in calculation application in the Windows operating system. It provides basic and scientific functions to perform arithmetic and complex mathematical operations.
Calculator offers different modes including Standard mode for basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and Scientific mode for more complex mathematical operations such as square root, exponentiation, logarithm, and many more functions. It is a handy tool for performing daily arithmetic operations directly on your computer without installing external applications.
