Similarly, you can quickly find songs with the .mp3 extension using the command kind:.mp3
However, when using the kind:image command, you will only receive images. You can filter image formats by typing kind:.png or kind:.jpg
2. Search Command in File Explorer
You can use the command line kind: +file type or file extension, similar to the search command on the Start Menu. However, with File Explorer, you can apply more specific commands, such as:
kind:photo datetaken:11/12/2016 : Search for photos taken on 11/12/2016.
kind:doc datecreated:11/12/2016 : Search for .doc files created on 11/12/2016.
kind:video datemodified:11/12/2016 : Search for videos modified on 11/12/2016.
ext:doc author:Mytour (author's name): Replace Mytour with the author's name to find files created by that person.
kind:music artist:Mytour (artist's name): Replace Mytour with the name of the singer or music group you want to find files for.
