Guide to Swift File Search on Windows 8
Step 1: Identify the search area. First, determine where your data is located, on which drive. Simultaneously press the Windows + E key combination to open File Explorer as shown below:
Step 2: Determine the search term, the file name to search. After identifying the search area (here, in box E), proceed to type the name of the file you're searching for into section 2 as shown below.
Step 3: After typing the search term, Windows will automatically search and filter the data, simultaneously providing results containing the searched term. Identify the desired file, click on it, and you're done.
- Note
- If you cannot determine the search area on which drive, open File Explorer and directly proceed to Step 2. Enter the file name in the Windows search box, and you're done.
Searching for files on the Windows 8 operating system is effortlessly simple, thanks to enhanced search features that make the process faster and more accurate. You won't need to invest much time and effort to locate the files you need anymore.
