4-Day Ninh Binh Travel Itinerary for April 30
As the April 30 holiday approaches, travelers can start their vacation from the evening of April 27 until May 1. With mild weather at the end of April and beginning of May, it's perfect for sightseeing, exploring Ninh Binh, hiking rocky mountains, and taking boat tours to explore caves... Below is a 4-day itinerary for travelers to consider.
Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park
Travelers can choose to depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh in the evening of the previous day or early in the morning of the next day to have more time for sightseeing and to avoid traffic. Just about 100 km from Hanoi, travelers have various transportation options such as motorbikes, buses, and trains to reach Ninh Binh. Ticket prices for buses and trains from Hanoi to Ninh Binh range from 80,000 to 100,000 dong per person.
If traveling by personal vehicle from Hanoi, tourists can follow Giải Phóng Road, pass through Giap Bat Bus Station, turn onto Phap Van – Cau Gie Expressway, then head towards Phu Ly to reach Ninh Binh.
On the first day of exploring Ninh Binh, tourists can spend time at Cuc Phuong National Park with a ticket price of 60,000 dong per person. Here, tourists have many activities and sights to choose from for a day such as:

Entrance fee is 120,000 dong per person, boat ticket is 150,000 dong for a maximum of 4 people. The boat trip through three limestone caves lasts about 2 hours. Aside from the boat ride along the Ngô Đồng River, tourists can also visit Bich Dong Pagoda and Thai Vi Temple.
After lunch, travelers head to the Hang Mua tourist area, about 4.5 km away. Entrance fee here is 100,000 dong per person. In the past, King Tran, when visiting the Hoa Lu area, often came here to listen to beautiful women, court dancers, and singers, so this place was named Hang Mua. After climbing nearly 500 steps, travelers reach the mountaintop and can enjoy a panoramic view of Tam Coc from above. In the evening, travelers stay at Tam Coc or Hang Mua.
Day 3: Bai Dinh – Trang An

For lunch, travelers return to Trang An to enjoy Ninh Binh specialties such as goat meat, burnt rice, mountain snails, river crabs… After lunch and a rest, travelers purchase tickets at 200,000 dong per adult and 100,000 dong per child to visit the scenic Trang An. The boat ride at Trang An is longer than at Tam Coc and the scenery on both sides of the river here is not rice fields but lush green moss and clear water to the bottom.
Trang An has opened a new route to Den Trinh – May Cave, Dia Linh Cave, Cloud Cave – Thanh Quy Minh Temple – Vu Lam Royal Court. The most prominent is the journey through Dia Linh Cave (2,000 m), the longest cave in Trang An with its pristine beauty preserved.
The final stop is Dao Dau Lau Island, where travelers visit the ethnic village and check-in scenes recreated from the movie Kong: Skull Island. In the evening, travelers stay at Trang An.
Day 4: Am Tien Cave – Ancient Capital Hoa Lu – Hanoi
In the morning, travelers head from Trang An to Am Tien Cave, which takes about 10 minutes, then purchase tickets for 20,000 dong per person. Surrounded by towering limestone mountains like citadels, amidst a cool, clear lake, previously only accessible by climbing mountains, Am Tien Cave was once dubbed the Enchanting Love Grotto. Travelers can now travel through a mountain tunnel, then climb to visit the temple, offering incense, and admire the cave with its surreal stalactites.
After lunch, travelers visit the historic site of Hoa Lu. Entrance fee is 20,000 dong per person. From Am Tien Cave, it's less than a kilometer away.
