While not yet boasting world-renowned “bicycle cities” like Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Copenhagen in Denmark, or London in the UK, Vietnam is gradually emerging as an ideal destination for cyclists.
1. Hanoi Capital
In recent years, the trend of commuting or leisure cycling in Hanoi has regained popularity among many due to its environmental benefits, health advantages, and even a sense of style. Foreign visitors to Hanoi also enjoy renting bicycles to explore the streets, admire the city's neighborhoods, and indulge in local street food.

The routes in the capital, especially those with beautiful scenery such as Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, West Lake, the path around Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Thanh Nien Street, Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Lenin Park… are ideal for cycling enthusiasts. The areas around West Lake, the Old Quarter, Thanh Nien Street, and Hoang Hoa Tham Street offer numerous bicycle rental services, particularly popular on weekends. With rental prices ranging from 80,000 to 100,000 VND per hour, 150,000 to 200,000 VND per day depending on the type of bicycle.
2. Da Nang
Renowned for its environmentally friendly atmosphere and boasting stunning coastal routes, Da Nang is truly an ideal destination for cyclists. From Han River to My Khe Beach, from Han Market to Non Nuoc Village, the breezy coastal roads are always favorite spots for cyclists.

Currently, some travel agencies in Da Nang have been quick to offer bicycle exploration tours of the city, lasting just one day for less than 1 million dong. Bicycle rental services are also very popular here. Most hotels offer this service to cater to tourists.
3. Hoi An
Hoi An must be mentioned in the list of ideal destinations for cyclists. In terms of scale, Hoi An City has a travel radius in each direction of no more than 10 km, especially from the coastal road to the center of the ancient town connecting An Bang Beach and Cua Dai forming a triangle, each side is just over 5 km making it ideal for cycling. It is estimated that up to 50% of Hoi An citizens, including women and children, choose bicycles as a means of transportation around the city.

Many tourists also choose bicycles to explore the surrounding villages of the ancient town such as Thanh Ha pottery village, Cam Thanh 'farmer learning' village, or Tra Que vegetable village, Kim Bong carpentry village…
Some travel agencies here have also developed eco-friendly bicycle tours. However, many tourists prefer to rent bicycles and explore Hoi An's fascinating attractions on their own. Bicycle rental services in Hoi An are also very popular at affordable prices.
4. Da Lat
Da Lat is renowned as Vietnam's most romantic city with its cool year-round climate and picturesque landscapes. Moreover, most of Da Lat's attractions are within a 10km radius from the city center, so cycling around won't take up too much time. Opting for a bicycle ride allows travelers to experience the fresh air, immerse themselves in the romantic ambiance of Xuan Huong Lake, admire the city's flower gardens, and stroll through the Valley of Love…

If you're adventurous and want to experience thrills, then rent a mountain bike to explore the pristine, mysterious beauty of destinations outside the city center such as Pren Waterfall, Datanla Waterfall, Cam Ly Waterfall, Cu Lan Village, the highest peak in Da Lat – Langbiang…
5. Vung Tau
Not as bustling as Hanoi or Saigon, nor as tranquil as Hoi An, Vung Tau still has its own charm to attract tourists. What leaves the most impression on visitors to the coastal city of Vung Tau is perhaps its exceptionally clean and beautiful streets. Therefore, it's no surprise that the preferred mode of transportation for travelers here is bicycles.

Tourists visiting this city often enjoy cycling along the stunning coastal roads, stopping to swim at Front Beach, Back Beach, or Pineapple Beach, visiting Bao Dai Palace or the Statue of Jesus on the hill, and enjoying evening coffee under the fragrant magnolia trees while admiring the gradually fading sunset.
