Although this number may not match the 10x optical zoom telephoto camera on the S23 Ultra, it's definitely a step in the right direction for Apple.
Recall that the current iPhone Pro features 3x optical zoom and 15x digital zoom, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts Space Zoom up to 100x. Therefore, the image quality of Samsung's premium smartphone still surpasses that of the current iPhone Pro. Thus, Apple needs to provide at least 30x zoom capability on the Max if it wants to outshine its 'rival'.
