The Lord of the Rings movie will return to Vietnamese audiences in IMAX format at the end of this month.
The Lord of the Rings (original title: The Lord Of The Rings) is set in Middle Earth, and it tells the story of the journey to destroy the One Ring, the most powerful ring, by a Hobbit named Frodo Baggins. The fate of Middle Earth lies in Frodo's hands and his companions in the Fellowship who protect the ring on their journey to Mount Doom in Mordo, the only place where this 'power' ring of the dark lord Sauron can be destroyed.
The film's plot is based on the fantasy novel of the same name by British author J.R.R. Tolkien, directed by Peter Jackson and released in 2001. The film immediately became a sensation, with impressive box office revenue (870 million USD worldwide) and ranked 50th in the list of the 100 greatest American films of all time, along with numerous awards.

1. Elijah Woods as Frodo Baggins
Elijah Jordan Wood is an American actor and producer. He has appeared in numerous films since a young age, starring in notable roles in Avalon (1990), North (1994),... And he gained widespread recognition for his role as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Frodo is the nephew of Bilbo Baggins - who kept the ring hidden for many years and wanted to escape but failed, thus passing the ring to Frodo. Frodo's noble task is to journey to Modor to destroy the ring. As a young Hobbit with thick curly brown hair and shyness, this task proves exceedingly difficult for him. His first companion is Sam, followed by Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Boromir, forming the Fellowship of the Ring. Frodo is kind-hearted, empathetic, and the only one capable of resisting the sinister temptation of the ring to reach Modor.

Gandalf is one of the five wizards sent to Middle Earth to aid the free peoples against the rising dark forces. He is known as the 'grey wizard', a wise and benevolent figure, always guiding the Fellowship of the Ring. He plays a crucial role as a leader against evil and is highly respected by many.

Orlando Bloom is a British actor who rose to fame in 2001 with his breakthrough role as the Elven prince Legolas in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and in 2003 as the blacksmith Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean. He quickly became a star and appeared in many major Hollywood projects.
Legolas is the prince of the Elven race, possessing many virtues such as kindness, courage, love for adventure, and always standing alongside Aragorn against evil. He excels in combat, both in archery and close combat. Additionally, he exhibits racial traits such as walking on grass without making a sound, leaving no footprints in the snow, having penetrating eyesight over long distances, and being able to sleep while walking.

Cate Blanchett is an Australian film actress, known for her role as Queen Elizabeth of England in the film of the same name Elizabeth in 1998.
Galadriel is an important and powerful character of the Elven race. Known as the 'Lady of Lothlorien', Galadriel embodies exquisite beauty, intelligence, and strength. With her authority, she commands respect from many. Most of Galadriel's power comes from the Ring of Water, Nenya, enabling her to communicate over vast distances, read the minds of others, and shield her mind from powerful creatures.
5. Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn
Viggo pursued various jobs to make ends meet before transitioning to an actor. He initially intended to decline the role in The Lord of the Rings, but his son Henry's passion for the script encouraged him to accept it. This role propelled the actor into the spotlight of the film industry.
In the film, Aragorn is the son of Arathorn II, from a declining royal lineage. He encounters Frodo's group at the inn and protects them from the Nazgul, later joining the Fellowship in Rivendell. They journey together until Aragorn loses track of Frodo.
From then on, Aragorn follows his own path with the goal of destroying the ring. He embodies the spirit of a courageous and righteous knight, always fighting to defend justice and friends. Aragorn is the only one who rejects the ring given by Frodo, a feat his ancestors couldn't accomplish.
