The Majestic Prenn Waterfall
Prenn Waterfall resembles a welcoming gateway bestowed by nature upon the city. During late summer days, the wall of water at the waterfall becomes a fierce symphony, with the misty veil gripping visitors tighter than their coats. There are two ways for tourists to explore the waterfall: wandering on the bridge inside to admire the flowing stream or gliding across on the cable car traversing the falls. Visiting Prenn Waterfall not only offers a view of the falls but also allows visitors to enjoy the vast pine hills and indulge in the specialty dish of snakehead fish porridge priced from 160,000 - 200,000 VND for 4 people.
Location: Located at the beginning of Prenn Pass, on Highway 20 from Saigon to Đà Lạt, approximately 10 km south of Đà Lạt city center.
The Enchanting Datanla Waterfall
Operational since 2000, Datanla Waterfall captivates tourists with its crystal-clear water cascading through 7 layers of rocky mountains before plunging onto large boulders, creating a frothy spectacle. Besides admiring the waterfall, visitors also have the opportunity to partake in daring adventures such as waterfall climbing and waterfall crossing. Datanla Waterfall boasts beautifully smooth and shiny rocks, rumored to be where celestial nymphs from the heavens often frolic and bathe, hence this area is also called Fairy Stream. Descending further down, visitors will encounter a deep and eerie gorge known as the Abyss of Death. This is a rather perilous area, prone to accidents if not explored with professional units equipped with safety gear.
Location: 5km from the center of Đà Lạt, nestled amidst Prenn Pass. From Highway 20, turn down the slope for about 300m to reach a small valley, where visitors will encounter Datanla Waterfall with its alluring and untouched scenery.
The Majestic Pongour Waterfall
The waterfall is associated with the legend of the beautiful hair of the prison warden Kanai and her four loyal rhinos. Standing 40m tall, stretching across 7 tiers, and nearly 100m wide, Pongour is the only waterfall in Lâm Đồng that hosts an annual festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month. On that day, many ethnic groups gather here to participate in rituals, dancing, and festivities.
Location: Pongour Waterfall, also known as the Seven-tier Waterfall, is located in Đức Trọng district, Lâm Đồng province, 50 km from Đà Lạt.
The Enigmatic Dambri Waterfall
Dambri, in the K’Ho language, means anticipation. The waterfall is associated with a beautiful legend about the steadfast love of a young woman for her beloved. It is the tallest waterfall in Lâm Đồng, standing over 40m tall, with two majestic streams of water. There are three ways to conquer the waterfall: climbing approximately 138 steps, taking an elevator, or experiencing an adrenaline rush with a 1,650m-long water slide. On sunny days, tourists can explore the beauty of the pristine forests, engage in outdoor activities, or enjoy a cup of hot coffee while admiring the misty veil covering the forest like a thin blanket and listening to romantic melodies. However, on rainy days, there is nothing more enjoyable than sipping a cup of hot coffee, admiring the misty scenery, and listening to sentimental songs.
Location: Located about 100km south of Đà Lạt, or 200km north of Ho Chi Minh City via Highway 20, Dambri Waterfall (part of the Dambri Ecological Tourism Area) is approximately 18km northeast of Bảo Lộc town, Lâm Đồng province.
