There are many things that make Midori Sweet special, and the first thing to mention is the café's ambiance. Stepping into Midori, you'll feel like you've wandered into a lush green garden of Japan, with a completely outdoor space, a greenhouse area downstairs, and an indoor area for those who prefer coziness. At Midori, everything is meticulously arranged, from the incredibly cute menu design, wooden trays for cakes, glass water jars, to every cake box, ribbon, or tag when you purchase to take away.

And, CAKES, are what contribute to the widespread appeal of Midori Sweet. All types of cakes at Midori are classified as excellent, with wonderful flavors, simple yet incredibly cute and modern appearance. Among them, cheesecake and salted egg yolk bamboo charcoal cake are two types of cakes likened to 'national cakes', with crispy crusts, soft and chewy interiors, gentle flavors, fragrant with buttery aroma, rich but not cloying like other sweet cakes. Next is the green tea-filled bamboo charcoal roll cake, with a soft sponge cake part, a smooth creamy part but still following the criteria of just-right sweetness, so you can eat endlessly without worry of getting tired.

The owner is an architect, so the space from the overall to the details is designed and crafted separately, very meticulous, to create the spirit that the café wants to bring to customers, light and relaxed. Stepping through the door, you'll see a white bar displaying various drinks on the right, and on the left, a few sets of tables with over 10 chairs to serve customers. The café also uses a predominant gray-white tone, giving a very serene ambiance.

Although Chi Lang Oi's menu is not as extensive and diverse as other cafes, each dish has its own unique touch. One of the 'must-try' drinks is the Salted Plum drink, sounds strange but guaranteed to be super delicious. The cakes, overall, are quite good for the price.
