5 Check-in Spots for a Weekend Trip in Da Nang
Get Lost in the Garden of Memories at Dong Dinh Museum
Dong Dinh Museum sits on the steep terrain overlooking Hoang Sa Street (Son Tra Peninsula), resembling a garden of memories. It recreates ancient features with a harmonious blend of ecological preservation and cultural artistic space. This comprehensive museum showcases various collections curated by the project owner, Artist Doan Huy Giao.

It will be fascinating to stroll through the narrow pathways amidst the model of a central Quang-style garden with lush fruit trees and emerald green grass. The name of the museum is inspired by the image of the 'dung dinh' tree, a type of evergreen coconut tree commonly found in the Son Tra Nature Reserve.

The museum's collection includes: two ancient stilt houses crafted in the style of Kim Bong artisans and a modern architectural marvel utilizing forest ecosystem space to perch atop a serene hill.

Opening hours: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission: 20,000 dong per person.
Admire the Sea from Tien Sa Lighthouse
Not only Mui Nghe, Ban Co Peak, or Linh Ung Pagoda can offer a delightful seaside view, but also Tien Sa Lighthouse (also known as Son Tra Lighthouse). Situated atop Son Tra Peninsula at approximately 223 meters above sea level, you can traverse the winding road along the peninsula and then behold the vast expanse of the ocean.

As one of Vietnam's most beautiful lighthouses, erected in the 1950s, Tien Sa Lighthouse with its 15.6-meter height serves the crucial role of aiding maritime navigation in the Hue - Da Nang sea region. Standing atop the lighthouse offers panoramic views from mountainous forests to expansive seas, showcasing breathtaking scenery.

Directions: Follow Hoang Sa Street towards InterContinental Danang Resort. Look for signage indicating the turnoff to Cay Da Nghin Nam (Thousand-Year-Old Tree) and Tien Sa Lighthouse. After 2 kilometers, you'll encounter a three-way junction; turn left. Proceed until another three-way junction, then turn right. Continue straight until the road's end, where the lighthouse awaits.
Feel the Breeze at Thuận Phước Lighthouse
Located quite near the city center, although lacking the unique charm of Tiên Sa Lighthouse, Thuận Phước Lighthouse stretches out towards the vast sea, connected to the mainland by a wave-breaking stone embankment.

From here, you can clearly see Thuận Phước Bridge, along with three other distinctive bridges of Da Nang: Han River Swing Bridge, Dragon Bridge, and Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Moreover, during twilight hours, Thuận Phước Lighthouse becomes a spot to enjoy the breeze and behold the breathtaking sunset.

Directions: Situated near Thuận Phước Bridge on the east bank of the Han River, the route to the lighthouse is straightforward. From Trần Hưng Đạo Street, head towards Thuận Phước Bridge, then continue onto Lê Văn Duyệt Street for about 1km, facing the Han River.
