See everyone at once
By default, Zoom will display whoever is speaking. However, with a simple click, you can view everyone on the call by selecting Gallery View in the top right corner of the meeting window. Then, a grid showing all meeting participants will appear with up to 49 people on each screen.
To set this viewing mode as default, open the Settings menu in Zoom (or during a call, click the ^ symbol next to the Video button in the bottom left corner of the screen and select Video Settings). Then, under the Meetings section, enable the option Display up to 49 participants per screen in Gallery View.

Enhance your appearance
Participating in a video meeting might feel a bit awkward if you're not used to being in front of the camera. The good news is, Zoom has a neat feature to help enhance your appearance during the call - so if you're feeling a bit uncomfortable, the beauty filter will help boost your confidence. Simply open Settings > Meetings and enable the Touch Up My Appearance filter. It can make your skin look smoother and fresher like applying filters from other photo editing apps.
4. Control Your Sharing Habits
Zoom captures audio on video when you join a call. If you want to take control of that yourself, you can:
- Mute your microphone in Settings > Audio.
- Turn off video in Settings > Video.
- When you need to speak, simply press the Space key.
5. Hide Participants without Cameras Enabled
When in Gallery View in Zoom, many participants have their cameras turned off, so all you see is a series of black windows with names. In this case, you can hide all participants without their cameras on by going to Settings > Video > Meetings and checking the option Hide non-video participants.
6. Record Your Meetings
The issue with meetings, teaching sessions, and even virtual gatherings is that decisions are made and everything is spoken. You might need to review certain opinions or important information discussed during the meeting. As the meeting host, you can record the meeting and save them to your computer. To record a meeting, go to Settings > Recordings >Record video during screen sharing.
