If you're using the Safari browser on your MAC, these useful tips below will significantly improve your web browsing speed and efficiency.

Pin Your Tabs
Surely, there are a few websites you visit frequently. Keep them handy on the tab bar for quick access. Pinning a tab is a breeze: right-click on any open tab and select “Pin Tab”.

Pinned tabs always appear on the left side of the tab bar, and you can easily click, hold, and drag to rearrange their order.

Mute Those Tabs
We've all been there – wanting to read a webpage, and it starts auto-playing a video. In Safari, when a new tab plays audio, you'll see a speaker icon next to it. Click the speaker icon to mute.

Right-clicking provides additional options such as:
- Activate Picture in Picture: Watch videos in a compact screen
- Auto-Play: Play automatically

Reorganize Your Tabs
For anyone juggling multiple tabs simultaneously, organization can become a real issue. To aid this, Safari allows you to arrange tabs in a specific order.
- In Safari, click on Window in the menu bar.

- Select Arrange Tabs By
- Now you can choose to organize tabs by Title or Website.

For many, sorting by website is the most helpful. This way, if you have multiple Facebook pages, Google Docs tabs, etc., all of them will be grouped together.
Customize Safari Toolbar
The Safari toolbar houses the most important buttons you'll use daily. Right-click anywhere on the toolbar and select “Customize Toolbar...”.

Then, you can drag any item onto the toolbar.

Once you've dragged all the icons you want to use, click “Done” and all your changes will be saved.

Modify Search Tools
Safari, like most browsers, will allow you to choose from several default search engines. By default, Safari is set to Google, but it's not your only available option.
Click on Safari in the top left corner >> Preferences...

Navigate to the Search tab.

In the Search Engine section, you can choose the default search engine for the browser.

Save a Page as a PDF
For some reason, if you need to save a webpage as a PDF, Safari makes it incredibly simple. Go to the page you want to save, then click on File and “Export as PDF...”.

The final step is to name it and choose where you want to save the document.

Connect with Safari on iPhone, iPad
As Safari is the default browser for iOS and Mac, Apple has long worked to make it seamless between the two systems.
- Begin by logging into your iCloud account on both devices.
- On your Mac, click the apple logo and open System Preferences...

- Go to General.

- Check the box Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.

- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings >> General Settings.

- Go to AirPlay & Handoff, toggle the switch to enable Handoff.

Once activated, you can continue your regular web browsing on your Mac. When you switch to your iPhone/iPad, a small icon will appear above your Safari icon. Tap on Safari, and it will allow you to pick up any page from your Mac to continue browsing.
Safari Reader
Safari Reader eliminates all distractions from any supported webpage, allowing you to view uninterrupted content. Note that it doesn't work on every website. To activate Reader, click on the four-line icon next to the URL bar.

A single press of that button activates Reader view. Click it again, and you're back to regular web browsing mode.

The above is just the tip of the iceberg when using Safari. Don't forget you can also add extensions to expand Safari's functionality. Wishing you an enjoyable web browsing experience.
