II. Sample Essay Describing the Woman I Cherish the Most
Whenever someone asks me, 'Who do I cherish the most in my life?' I won't hesitate to answer: The woman I admire and love the most is my mother.
My mother is an epitome of beauty and grace. Despite being over half a century old, she hasn't lost that charm. Beyond 40, my mother still looks incredibly youthful with an oval face and flawless, radiant skin. The most captivating feature is her eyes, bright and deep like autumn water. Every time she looks at me, those eyes seem to radiate boundless affection. No one can defy the passage of time, and crow's feet have appeared at the corners of my mother's eyes. Nevertheless, it doesn't make her look old; on the contrary, it adds a touch of maturity to her. Enhancing her refined and harmonious face is her straight, high-bridged nose, a fortunate trait passed down to me. Like young maidens, my mother's lips are thin, always rosy and vibrant without the need for lipstick or powder. She exudes charm effortlessly.
Although my mother is slender and not tall, her fair skin and smooth, flowing hair always make me envious. Yet, what I adore the most about her is her hands. These aren't soft hands, but ones marked with visible calluses, a testament to the hardships and burdens of life. With those weathered hands, my mother toiled for the family, imparting valuable lessons and providing support from my first steps in life. Without flowery words, she conveyed strength, comfort, and faith through the warmth of her hands. Those hands are the most effective remedy, healing every emotional wound within me. And those same hands prepared delicious meals unmatched by any for the whole family. During my illnesses, those hands gently wiped the sweat from my forehead, spoon-fed me porridge, and comforted me while taking medicine.
In my heart, my mother is always the greatest monument. Despite the myriad worries and difficulties in life, she stands strong for the sake of the family. As a modern woman, my mother excels in household chores and manages the home. In her profession, she is strict and meticulous but also considerate and attentive. Colleagues at her workplace often refer to my mother as the 'Grand Manager' because, besides caring for her own family, she has helped and supported them greatly in both work and life. This makes me even prouder of my mother.
