Last month, I decided it was time to upgrade my smartphone after using my old Android for 3 years, which was showing signs of decline. After researching various smartphones and considering reviews, I settled on the Galaxy A52.
Here's my take on why I chose the Galaxy A52 and my initial impressions after a few weeks of using this smartphone!
Why did I decide to buy the Galaxy A52?

Firstly, it's budget-friendly. The Galaxy A52 with 8GB RAM/128GB storage is the most cost-effective configuration compared to the Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72. Excluding the Galaxy A32 due to its different design and inadequate specifications for my needs.
Secondly, I found 8GB RAM to be excessive. Since I mainly use it for taking photos and using apps moderately, 128GB internal storage is sufficient. This saves a considerable amount for future use rather than spending all the money on it.

Secondly, after browsing through various forums and YouTube channels for reviews on the Galaxy A52, I concluded that it's the worthy successor to consider. It offers numerous valuable upgrades, with the most noticeable improvements in performance and camera capabilities.
Excitedly, I decided to head straight to the nearby Mytour store to get my hands on the Galaxy A52 directly. Talking about my initial impression of the Galaxy A52, I noticed there are quite a few color options to choose from, including White, Black, Blue, and Purple. Perhaps Samsung is targeting the younger demographic like myself, hence offering a wide range of choices for easy decision-making.
The Galaxy A52 also comes in a beautiful Purple variant. In terms of design, I find the Galaxy A52 more appealing than the A51. It's still slim and lightweight but accommodates a larger 4,500mAh battery and boasts a more stylish rear camera module. As someone who dislikes visible camera bumps, I opted for the matte Black version to minimize the appearance of the rear camera sensors.
So, I decided to purchase the Galaxy A52 right away, and below are my thoughts after 3 weeks of using the Galaxy A52.
After using it for a few weeks, it exceeded my expectations

As a gaming enthusiast, my first task upon returning home is to power up the device and immediately download Arena of Valor to jump into my first battle. Despite watching numerous reviews, I still prefer hands-on testing for assurance.
Firstly, the device can smoothly run at 60 FPS with high graphics settings enabled. However, I recommend opting for medium graphics settings to conserve battery life and reduce heat generation during extended gaming sessions.

For the first time, I'm genuinely satisfied with a mid-range Samsung device. Last year's Galaxy A71 was excellent but expensive, making it unattainable for me. The A51 offered everything, but gaming performance didn't meet my expectations.
Next up is the screen, the A52 features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, offering excellent display quality. Coupled with dual speakers, watching Netflix or YouTube on this device makes you lose track of time.

The major highlight of this display is its smooth 90Hz refresh rate support, which is one of the primary reasons I chose the Galaxy A52.
The camera is also a significant highlight with its 64 MP main sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), making it easier for shaky hands like mine to capture clear, less blurry photos.
Notably, the video recording quality on the Galaxy A52 is exceptional, with good detail, accuracy in focusing and exposure. I would rate this device as one of the best in terms of video recording capabilities within its price range.

Regarding battery life, it's quite decent. On heavy usage days, I charge it fully at night, and by the time I return from school around 5 PM, the battery is usually at a low level.
For basic tasks like checking messages and browsing Facebook, the battery still retains around 30% charge by evening.
Galaxy A52 offers a consistent experience even for a picky student like me

In summary, I chose the Galaxy A52 because it meets almost all the criteria I set. It features a robust configuration with the Snapdragon 720G chip, an excellent display, sufficient battery life for a day of work and study, and a versatile camera setup for capturing various angles in my campus.
A bonus feature of the Galaxy A52 is its water and dust resistance with an IP67 rating. However, I hope I won't have to rely on this feature too often because everything comes with risks. When inquired, the staff mentioned that Samsung does not cover water damage under warranty.
Above was the sharing about why I chose to purchase the Galaxy A52 and my real-life experiences after using it for a few weeks. If you have any questions about this smartphone, feel free to leave them in the comments below, and I'll do my best to answer them.
