Honoring Our Teachers
Homage to Our Teachers
Esteemed delegates, respected teachers, and dear fellow students!
...And so, another summer returns to us. The golden rays of sunlight blanket everything, weaving through the leaves, igniting the beloved flame of the phoenix flowers, burning away our sorrows and lingering regrets.
This summer, like every other, brings its intense heat and blazing sun. Yet, deep within, I feel an unexpected chill. This chill grows stronger as my remaining time at school dwindles, and the moment to leave the warm embrace of our teachers looms closer.
I remember our first day at this school, filled with wonder: new classrooms, new teachers, new friends. Five years - not a long time, but long enough to create countless memories with our school, teachers, and classmates. Here, we have been nurtured and loved, taught by our teachers' wisdom and compassion. Our parents gave us life, but our teachers gave us the intellect. Our parents gave us hearts to love, our teachers gave us the wisdom to know right from wrong. They taught us to dream of a bright future and gave us the knowledge and belief to turn those dreams into reality.
Here, a myriad of memories with friends are cherished - joyful ones, sad ones, adorable and at times, hilariously foolish. Now, as I am about to leave the dear Trung Lap Ha School, a wave of emotions overwhelms me. The sight of blooming phoenix flowers made me realize: I am now a senior. 'Just a few more days before we part ways with our school, our beloved teachers, and an overwhelming sense of longing fills us. We will miss the radiant flame trees blooming each summer; every chair, desk, classroom window, and blackboard; the solemn flag salutes, playful recesses, bustling group activities filled with laughter, running and playing with friends... And how could we forget the lessons, the valuable morals, the enriching knowledge sweet as milk, fragrant as a gentle perfume, forever a precious asset bestowed upon us by our teachers.
From our first cry at birth, each of us has been lovingly embraced by our grandparents and parents, guarded until we come of age.
A father's effort is as towering as the mountains
A mother's love is as boundless as the waters of the Eastern seas
Grandparents and parents, the ones who gave us life and nurtured us with unconditional love and care. They taught me my first words, and guided my first steps. The memory of my mother's sweet lullabies, my father's warm embrace, and the stories my grandmother told me at night are unforgettable.
Oh! The debt of gratitude we owe to our grandparents, parents, and teachers is as vast as the sky and sea, beyond any means of repayment. Yet, there have been times we've caused them worry. Perhaps that's why their hair has prematurely greyed. We owe them many apologies!
Tomorrow, as we step into a new chapter, facing many new beginnings with new teachers, the image of all our beloved teachers from Trung Lap Ha Elementary School will forever remain in our hearts, continually inspiring us to move forward confidently towards a bright future. On behalf of the 73 fifth-grade students, I express our deepest thanks to our teachers for their dedication over the past five years, and to our grandparents and parents for bringing us up.
We promise to strive and do our utmost in our future educational endeavors, to remain good children and excellent students, honoring the teachings and love of our grandparents, parents, and teachers.
In closing, we wish our grandparents, parents, and teachers continued health and strength. May our school keep growing and thriving, and may the younger students excel in their studies, bringing glory to our alma mater.
Alongside the content of Gratitude Speeches for Teachers, students can explore writing a short paragraph about themselves, their teachers, and their school, as well as creating an outline for a descriptive essay about a beloved teacher as a tribute to our 'ferryman'.
In addition to what we've learned, students should prepare a beautiful essay about teachers as Teacher's Day on November 20th draws near.
