Remote Desktop Over LAN: Accessing Computers Within Your Local Network
Step 1: Navigate to Start -> Computer -> Properties
Step 2: Select 'Advanced system settings'
Step 3: Choose the 'Remote' tab and check 'Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop'. Enabling this feature allows others to remotely access your machine.
However, if you only want specific individuals to access your personal computer, you will choose users to access the network by selecting 'Select Users'

Step 4: Continue by selecting 'Find Now' and choose the machine you want to access and press 'OK'
Now, when you return to step 3, you'll find that you can add another account for the selected machine.
To initiate Remote Desktop feature and access another computer, go to Start, type 'mstsc.exe'
The Remote Desktop Connection dialog will appear, enter the IP address of the target machine in the 'Computer' field, and select 'Connect'
Step 5: Simply input the User and Pass of the target machine and click 'OK' to complete.
