Acer Launches New Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315, and Chromebook 314 at CES 2022At CES 2022, Acer announced three new Chromebooks, stating that these laptops are designed for consumers in need of secure, user-friendly, and affordable devices for work, entertainment, and communication.
All Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315, and Chromebook 314 have different screen sizes and form factors.
Acer Chromebook Spin 513
The Acer Chromebook Spin 513, model number CP513-2H, features a VertiView 13.5-inch display (2256 x 1504 pixels), with a 3:2 aspect ratio combined with a slim bezel of just 7.7 mm, providing users with an additional 18% vertical display space.
Acer Chromebook Spin 513Chromebook Spin 513 utilizes the MediaTek Kompanio 1380 octa-core chip, achieving US military-grade MIL-STD-810H durability, supporting Wi-Fi 6, using USB-C ports for charging and connecting to peripherals and data transmission.
In terms of battery life, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 can operate for up to 10 consecutive hours, which is lower than its predecessor (up to 13 hours). This laptop will be available in North America from June with a price of around 600 USD (about 13.6 million VND).
Acer Chromebook 315
Acer Chromebook 315 features a glare-resistant 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, integrated with a large-sized keyboard including a dedicated numeric keypad on the right side. Additionally, Chromebook 315 also comes with a touchscreen-enabled version.
Acer Chromebook 315Chromebook 315 is equipped with Intel chips, which could be Celeron N4500, Celeron N5100, or Pentium Silver N600. Acer has bid farewell to the AMD A-series chips that used to accompany the 2019 version. Acer Chromebook 315 will hit shelves in the North American market at the end of this month with a price tag of around 300 USD (about 6.8 million VND).
Acer Chromebook 314
Finally, the new Acer Chromebook 314 features a glare-resistant 14-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display with a slim bezel of 8.1 mm.
Similar to Chromebook 315, Chromebook 314 also features a unique OceanGlass touchpad, environmentally friendly and made entirely from recycled plastic waste transformed into a glass-like structure to provide sensitive and smooth touch feedback.
Acer Chromebook 314Chromebook 314 runs on an Intel chip, although the specific model is not yet clear. The device also meets MIL-STD-810H standards and supports Wi-Fi 6, which is about three times faster than Wi-Fi 5. The laptop features two integrated microphones with noise reduction technology, along with a webcam to minimize lighting-related distractions.
Chromebook 314 offers a battery life of 10 hours and will be available in North America from June this year at a price of around 300 USD (approximately 6.8 million VND).
