Acer has recently introduced their latest monitor, the inaugural 4K 144Hz display from the company supporting the HDMI 2.1 standard, named XV282K KV, a part of the NITRO XV2 product line. The 28-inch 4K IPS panel is crafted by Innolux, striving to balance high refresh rates with color accuracy on the screen. The WLED flicker-free backlight enables the monitor to showcase 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with a maximum brightness of 550 cd/m2, occasionally reaching up to 600 cd/m2, displaying stunning HDR10 and Dolby Vision images.
As mentioned, the XV282K KV supports the HDMI 2.1 standard, allowing the display of images with a 144Hz refresh rate and native 4K resolution, along with DisplayPort 1.4. The monitor supports AMD's FreeSync, with a refresh rate range running from 48Hz to 144Hz. The monitor stand has a relatively simple design, still allowing height adjustment, vertical screen rotation, and tilting up to a maximum of 35 degrees upward and 5 degrees downward.
Acer has announced the XV282K KV price at 8,499 TWD, approximately equivalent to 1,246 USD for pre-orders. The product is set to debut in the market around January 2021. To clarify, the currency used is New Taiwan Dollar (TWD). Apologies for any confusion with the symbol ¥, often associated with Japanese Yen. 😔
