SofM himself appears perplexed by GAM's confusing situations.
On 09/09, the grand finals of VCS Hoàng Hôn 2023 took place with GAM Esports and Team Whales. Besides being a final, the match drew attention as members of the League of Legends (LMHT) Vietnam national team participating in ASIAD faced off. Granted the co-streaming rights for VCS, SofM was particularly interested in this match, especially as, except for Bie, all his teammates from the Vietnam LMHT team were fully present.

With a professional player's perspective and high expertise, VCS audiences also particularly enjoy SofM's co-stream sessions. In this final, he didn't hesitate to provide candid remarks for players on both teams. Nevertheless, SofM rarely has to 'dry' players, except in situations of glaring mistakes or 'throws' from both teams.

However, throughout the 4 matches, SofM found himself puzzled twice, surprised when the results didn't match predictions. Firstly, it was the skirmish in the Mid Lane at the end of game 1. In that situation, GAM was leading by about 4-5k gold. However, despite early defeating BeanJ, GAM players couldn't finish off Aphelios in Artemis's hands. This allowed him to turn the tide for Team Whales. Witnessing this, SofM was also surprised and admitted that Aphelios is both strong and has beautiful guns, which is why Team Whales won.

But SofM also 'throws his hands up' at the situation at the Dragon's sixth buff in game 4 of the match. At that time, GAM was leading by over 10k gold, but Team Whales turned out to be the victor in the fight with a clean sweep. Only after reviewing the replay of the situation did SofM realize that Slayder made a mistake, and BeanJ had a beautiful initiation. Losing the primary damage source too early led to GAM losing that teamfight.

However, SofM acknowledges that GAM secured a well-deserved victory as they completely dominated in all matches. Yet, SofM also admits that both teams had their fair share of 'throws' and 'chokes' in this crucial match.
