- 4G here refers to the network signal technology. It affects not only your web browsing, Facebook, and YouTube but also your call quality. Users often misunderstand this.
- Whenever you want to use the internet for browsing, Facebook, YouTube, etc., activate Mobile Data. Otherwise, turn it off to save on charges.
How to Activate 4G on Android and iPhone
1. On iPhone Devices
Step 1: From the home screen, go to Settings >Cellular
Step 2: Next, select Cellular Data Options >Voice
Step 3: Here, choose 4G > then go back to enable Cellular Data while turning off Wi-Fi.
After disabling Wi-Fi, you can clearly see the 4G signal display on your phone as shown below, indicating that you have successfully activated 4G on your iPhone.
2. On Android Devices
Step 1: From your device's home screen, access Apps > Settings
Step 2: Choose SIM management > select the SIM card you want to activate 4G on. This smartphone has 2 SIM cards, so we illustrate enabling 4G with SIM card 1.
Step 3: Continue pressing Network mode > select LTE/3G/2G. The device will prioritize 4G signal reception, switching to 3G or 2G if 4G is unavailable.
Step 4: Swipe down the status bar from the top edge of your phone, turn off Wi-Fi, and turn on mobile data. The status bar now displays the 4G icon as shown below, indicating success.
