Similar to other mobile devices, Zenfone is equipped with a location feature, but it is not enabled by default. To use it, you need to turn on your Zenfone location. When not needed, it is advisable to turn it off.
TURN ON/OFF LOCATION ON ZENFONE
The Zenfone location function can help you determine your location, view maps, and is a lifesaver in finding a lost or stolen Zenfone.
Similar to locating Oppo, enabling and disabling the location function on Zenfone is done through the General Settings or the notification center. So, there are two ways to accomplish this!
1. Enable or Disable Zenfone Location Services from Settings
Go to Settings
Navigate to Location:
+ Enable Zenfone Location: gently swipe the icon to the right or tap to move it slightly to the right, or you can also tap on this option to enter and turn it on (although this may take a bit longer).
+ Disable Zenfone Location: to turn it off, do the opposite, swipe the icon or tap to shift it slightly to the left, when the 'Turn off' message is displayed (as shown below).
2. Toggle Zenfone Location from Notification Center
Swipe down gently from the top of the screen to open the notification center on your device. Here, you'll find various functions, including Location. To turn it on or off, simply tap it lightly.
