1. How to activate tracking on Facebook using a PC
Follow these steps to enable tracking on Facebook on your computer:
Step 1: To turn on Facebook Followers on your computer, log in to your Facebook account. Next, look at the top right corner, click on the upside-down triangle (arrow 1), and then click on 'Settings & Privacy' (arrow 2).
Step 2: Here, click on the 'Settings' section.
Step 3: Here, click on 'Public Posts' as shown below.
Step 4: Look at the top right corner, click on 'Friends' as shown, and select 'Public'. This enables the follow feature.
- For a successfully activated Facebook Followers account, when someone adds you as a friend, the follow option will appear on your profile cover.
2. How to enable follow on Facebook using Android, iPhone
As the interfaces of Android and iPhone are similar, the following guide to activate Facebook Followers below is applicable to both.
Step 1: To activate Facebook Followers on your phone, open the Facebook app, tap on the menu icon with 3 horizontal lines (Image 1). Then, swipe up when Image 2 appears.
Step 2: Here, click on 'Settings & Privacy' (Image 3) and then continue to click on 'Posts' (Image 4).
Step 3: Click on 'Who can see your posts' (Image 5). Then, click on the circular checkbox next to 'Public' (Image 6).
Step 4: Click on 'Change' (Image 7). The circular checkbox next to Public should be green, indicating that you have enabled the follow feature (Image 8).
3. What is Followers, tracking on Facebook?
Followers are individuals who track someone's Facebook account. They may not be friends, but through tracking, they can still receive the latest updates, such as game notifications.
Enabling the follow feature on Facebook makes the system appear on your Profile, letting anyone visiting your Facebook know about it. If there is no status line (shown above), it means you haven't activated Facebook Followers.
