Unlike the process of activating Windows 10 licenses, Matlab licenses do not remain valid indefinitely. Users of MATLAB must reactivate their licenses on December 30th each year. Reactivate MATLAB License on Mac or Windows PC
Follow the steps below to reactivate your MATLAB license:
Step 1: Open MATLAB. If your MATLAB license has expired, activate the client to open, and you can skip the next step.
Step 2: Navigate to Help Menu => Licensing => Activate Software.
Step 3: Choose Activate using Internet.
Note: If your computer is behind a firewall, you will need to temporarily disable the firewall to complete the MATLAB license reactivation process.
Step 4: After reactivating MATLAB, you will need to restart the program to apply the updates.
Note: If your installation expires, you will receive an activation prompt when opening MATLAB.
