Discover the quick and easy steps to power on your TV!
Quick Guide
Using the Remote

To switch on your TV with the remote, simply grab it and press the power button.
- Refer to our guide on How to Operate a Basic TV Remote to learn how to use your TV remote effectively.
- If you have external speakers, gaming consoles, DVD players, etc., remember to switch them on individually as well.
When Using Remote and Cable Box

Ensure the cable box is powered on initially.
- Inspect the cable box. Does it display a number or is the screen void? If it shows a number, it's likely already powered on.
- Retrieve the remote control for the cable box. It may differ from the TV remote.
- With this Comcast remote, press the 'All On' button. If it manages both your TV and cable box, it will activate both simultaneously. If it only controls your cable box, proceed to the next step.

Depress the power button on the TV remote.
- If the TV fails to power on, the remote may be faulty. Check the batteries or, if it's a universal remote, press the 'TV' button and retry the power button.
- If the TV powers on but no channel appears (just a blue screen or 'no signal'):
- Confirm the cable box is indeed powered on.
- Verify the TV is tuned to the correct channel to receive signals from the cable box. Often, this is channel 'zero'.
When Without Remote

To activate your TV without the remote, simply approach the TV and press the power button. If locating the power button proves challenging, follow the steps below.
- Review any manuals that accompanied your television, if available.
- Check for a visible touch power button on your TV, typically located at the midpoint of the lower panel.
- Inspect the left and right sides and the top of your TV, as some TVs feature power buttons there. They may be distinguishable by size, color, label, or a power symbol similar to the one shown here.

Try locating or replacing your TV remote. Start by searching for your missing remote. If you can't find it and lack a TV remote, consider purchasing one suitable for your TV. If your TV remote is broken, follow the steps in How to Repair a Remote Control to fix it.
