End-to-end encryption is a feature designed to prevent platform surveillance of conversations. Each encrypted conversation has a unique key to protect it. When using Zalo's end-to-end encryption feature, messages are encrypted before being sent, and no one can view or listen to the content sent during this transmission.
II. How to enable Zalo message end-to-end encryption on computer, phone
1. Enable Zalo message end-to-end encryption on iPhone, Android

Step 1: Open the Zalo app on your phone. If you haven't already, you can download and install it here:

Step 2: Open the Zalo conversation you want to upgrade end-to-end encryption => Choose the 3-line icon.
Step 3: Here, select end-to-end encryption => Press next to start the Zalo message end-to-end encryption program.
Step 4: Choose upgrade End-to-End Encryption => When the upgrade notification is successful, select return to conversation.
Finally, the successful result will be a lock icon next to the conversation name.

2. Enable Zalo message end-to-end encryption on computer, laptop
Step 1: Open the Zalo application on your PC. If you don't have it yet, you can download and install it here: Download link Zalo
Step 2: In the Zalo conversation interface select a conversation you want to create Zalo message encryption.
Step 3: After opening the conversation select the square icon (as shown in the image)
Step 4: Find the End-to-End Encryption section and click on it.
Step 5: Now you choose upgrade to proceed with encrypting Zalo messages end-to-end on your computer.
When the upgrade is successful, you will receive a notification as shown below:
So, to protect Zalo messages from being snooped and leaked, you can use the end-to-end encryption feature as instructed above.
III. How to turn off Zalo message end-to-end encryption on iPhone, Android, and PC
1. Disable Zalo end-to-end encryption on Android phone
Step 1: Install Kiwi Browser from Google Play
- Download link for Android version: Kiwi Browser for Android
Step 2: Open Kiwi Browser, go to the link HERE and select Add extension to install ZaX.
Step 3: Login to Zalo Web using Kiwi Browser, go to Settings (3-dot icon) => select ZaX => Disable end-to-end encryption.
2. Disable Zalo end-to-end encryption on iPhone
Step 1: Install Orion browser from AppStore HERE
Step 2: Configure general settings for Orion:
- Choose Orion as the default browser: Settings => Default Browser => Open Orion Settings => Default Browser App => Select Orion
- Change User Agent for Orion browser: Go to Settings => User Agent => Custom => Enter zaxapp
- Enable extension installation on Orion: Settings => Allow Firefox extension installation (as shown in the image)
Step 3: Open Orion browser, go to the link HERE to download and install ZaX extension
Step 4: Login to Zalo Web using Orion browser, go to Settings (3-dot icon) => select ZaX => Disable end-to-end encryption.
3. Disable Zalo message end-to-end encryption on computer, laptop
Step 1: Download and install ZaX software HERE
Step 2: Open and Activate Zalo Extension.
Step 3: Select the ZaX icon and choose Disable end-to-end encryption.
