Enabling Cortana on the lock screen in various versions of Windows 10
Step 1: First, press the Windows + R key combination, then type regedit in the search bar and press Enter to open the Registry tool.
Step 2: Next, navigate to the path
- Right-click on Preferences and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the new DWORD VoiceActivationEnableAboveLockscreen.
Step 3: Next, double-click on the DWORD created earlier and set its value to 1, then press OK.
Now all you need to do is restart your computer, and you'll have Cortana enabled on the Windows 10 lock screen.
Enabling Cortana on the lock screen in Windows 10 Anniversary edition
Step 1: Click on the Cortana icon on the Taskbar and select Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down to the option Lock screen – Use Cortana even when my device is locked. Slide to On to enable Cortana on the lock screen or Off to disable Cortana on the lock screen. Immediately after this setting, proceed to slide to On for the Hey Cortana setting.
