Love sharing photos and posts on Twitter but prefer keeping them away from prying eyes? It's easy – just switch to a Private Twitter account.

1. How to set up Twitter in private mode (PC)
When joining Twitter, you can choose whether your account is public or private by enabling “Protect your Tweets” in settings.
When new followers engage, you'll receive requests and have the choice to accept or decline. Previous followers can still access your content, so consider unfollowing them if needed.
You can switch between private and public modes at any time.
Step 1: Open your preferred browser, go to Twitter, and log in.
Step 2: On the left side of the screen, click the Three Dots icon.

Select Settings and Privacy.

Step 3: Now that you're on the Settings page of Twitter, proceed to Privacy and Safety >> Audience and Tagging.

Step 4: Check the box under Protect your Tweets.

Step 5: Confirm Protecting your account.

There you go, your Twitter account is now set to private.
Step 6: Additionally, to prevent strangers from messaging you, navigate back to Privacy and Safety settings, go to Direct Messages.

Step 7: Uncheck the box for Allow message requests from everyone.

2. Enable Twitter Privacy Mode on Mobile
On iPhone and Android devices, you can easily set your account to private with a few simple steps.
Step 1: Open the Twitter app on your phone.
Step 2: Tap on your profile picture in the top left corner. Then, go to Settings and Privacy.

Step 3: In the Settings screen, scroll down and select Privacy and Safety.

Step 4: Open the Audience and Tagging >> Turn on Protect your Tweets option.

There you go, you've activated privacy mode for your Tweet account.
Step 5: If you wish to block strangers from messaging you, go back to the Privacy and Safety screen >> scroll down to select Direct Messages.
Turn off the Allow message requests from everyone option.

Setting your account to private helps safeguard your privacy, preventing unwanted eyes from following your online activities. Mytour wishes you a healthy social media environment.
