HOW TO ADD A COLUMN IN GOOGLE SHEETS
A notable difference between Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is that Google Sheets allows us to choose whether to add a column to the left or right of the target column.
Step 1: Open your Google Sheets spreadsheet.
Step 2: Select a column where you want to add and right-click.
Step 3: Choose Insert 1 left or Insert 1 right, depending on whether you want to add to the left or right of your selection.
A new column will be added on the side you choose.
HOW TO SPLIT DATA IN GOOGLE SHEETS
Splitting columns is a very useful feature for data that has been entered. Take, for example, names entered with both the first and last names in the same column. Now, if you want to separate them into separate columns for First Name and Last Name, here's how to do it:

Step 2: Right-click on the column you want to split.
Step 3: Choose Insert 1 left or Insert 1 right to record information after splitting the data.
Step 4: Select the column you want to split.
Step 5: Click on the Data menu on the toolbar, then select Split text to columns.
Step 6: Choose the Space option for splitting.
This type of split is based on the number of spaces; the more spaces, the more words will be divided into columns.
ADDING ROWS IN GOOGLE SHEETS
Adding rows is quite similar to adding columns in Google Sheets. Instead of working vertically, we work horizontally when adding rows. A note is that adding rows in Google Sheets is performed similarly to adding rows in Excel, happening when you want to supplement additional data in your spreadsheet.
Step 1: Open your Google Sheets spreadsheet.
Step 2: Right-click on a row.
Step 3: Choose Insert 1 above or Insert 1 below.
A new row will be added at the position you selected. You can also use the Insert option on the toolbar to add, but it requires selecting the row first; the simpler way is still to use right-click.
