Touch ID Fingers is one of the new features that Apple has introduced, specifically for Macbook models from 2016 onwards, when touch-sensitive keyboards were integrated into the devices. Adding fingerprint security on Macbook is also encouraged by Apple for Macbook users, and readers should note that this feature does not apply to Macbook versions prior to 2016.
Guide to adding fingerprint security on Macbook
Step 1: First, look up at the Menu bar on your Macbook and click on the Apple icon. Here, you'll find the System Preferences option; click on it.
Step 2: In System Preferences, you'll see the Touch ID section. Click on it if you want to add fingerprint security on your Macbook.
The Touch ID section only appears on Macbook models from 2016 onwards; it won't appear on earlier versions.
Step 3: In Touch ID, you can add up to 3 fingerprints. Simply click on Add a fingerprint to add fingerprint security on your Macbook.
