Method 1: Adding Friends on Zalo Using Phone Numbers
Step 1: To add friends on Zalo, first, access Zalo, select the Contacts icon (Figure 1). Then, at the top right corner, click the add people icon (Figure 2).
Step 2: You enter the phone number of the person you want to add into the box below Vietnam(+84) and click 'Search' (Figure 3). Now, the personal Zalo page of that person appears, click on 'Add friend' (Figure 4). At this point, all they need to do is accept your friend request.

Method 2: Adding Friends on Zalo without Phone Numbers on Computer, when Blocked
When using Zalo, each account will have its own QR code containing account information, making it quick to add friends on Zalo using this QR code. Simply with the Zalo app and a phone with a camera, you can directly scan the QR code and add friends without needing to remember nicknames or phone numbers.
How to add friends on Zalo without needing a phone number, using QR codes
Step 1: After opening and logging into Zalo, at the bottom of the interface, click the contacts icon (Figure 1). At the top right corner, click the Add Friends icon (Figure 2).
Step 2: Click 'Scan QR code' (Figure 3). To add friends with others: Move the Camera to scan the QR code of the other person. Once the code is recognized, Zalo will automatically switch to the scanned person's profile page for you to add.
To receive friend requests from others: Tap on My QR code (Figure 5). Now, your QR code will be displayed (Figure 6). Your friends can use the Zalo app to scan your QR code.
Method 3: Adding friends on Zalo through community channels
Nearby Search feature: This feature will require your location through GPS, then connect you with Zalo users nearby your location. From here, you can find and get acquainted, add friends on Zalo with people in that area.
Step 1: Also, open and log into Zalo. In the Messages section, at the top of the interface, click on the Find friends, messages box and type in the keyword Find nearby (Figure 1). Now, click 'Find Nearby) (Figure 2).
Step 2: At the bottom of the interface, click 'Find nearby' (Figure 3). A list of accounts will appear, click on the person you want to add as a friend (Figure 4) then click Add friend.
Note: You can change the search criteria by clicking on the arrow as shown in Figure 4. Then, you can set the criteria you want for adding friends such as gender, age.
II. Adding friends on Zalo on computer
In addition to on your phone, you can easily and quickly add friends on Zalo through your computer. But you need to have Zalo software on your computer to use this feature.
Step 1: On your computer, open and log into the Zalo software. At the top of the interface, click on the add friends icon as shown below.
Step 2: You enter the phone number into the 'Phone number' field.
Step 3: After entering the phone number, you click 'Search'.
Step 4: Now, the personal page of the person you searched for will display, you click 'Add friend' and you're done.
It's quite simple, isn't it? With this method, you've added friends on Zalo using phone numbers. Keep searching for more new friends on Zalo, and besides using Zalo on mobile devices, you can also register Zalo on your computer, use Zalo, and log into Zalo on your computer with full functionality.
