If you've just installed Office 2013 or 2016 and want to use Outlook, you might be wondering how to add your Gmail account to Outlook. This article will guide you through the process of adding your Gmail account to Outlook 2016.

Firstly, you need to know that Gmail offers two ways to access your Gmail messages in Outlook: IMAP and POP.
- IMAP can be used on multiple devices, and emails are synchronized in real-time.
- POP can only be used on a single computer, and emails are not synchronized in real-time. However, they are downloaded, and you can decide how often you want to download new emails.

Then press Save Changes to save the POP settings in gmail.

Setting up Outlook
Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook 2016 on your computer by selecting Menu -> Outlook 2016 or you can type outlook in the search box and select Outlook 2016 in the search results.

Congratulations! You've successfully integrated your Gmail account into Outlook. Just hold tight while Outlook fetches your emails from Gmail.

Note: If you couldn't add your Gmail account to Outlook using the previous method, try the following steps:
1. On your webmail, click on the link https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps under Allow less secure apps: ON. Drag the slider to the right to turn it on.
By doing this, you're granting permission for third-party apps to manage your Gmail, which may compromise its security. However, it's necessary for adding Gmail to Outlook.
