Guide: Adjusting WinRAR Toolbar Size

If you find the toolbar in WinRAR too large or too small, or if you want to hide it altogether, refer to the instructions in this article to adjust the WinRAR toolbar size according to your preference.

WinRAR is file compression software with highly efficient compression and decompression capabilities, supporting a wide range of popular compression formats such as RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, ACE, TAR, GZip, UUE, ISO, BZIP2, Z, and 7-Zip with lightning-fast speeds. Additionally, users can customize to adjust the WinRAR toolbar size as desired, making it larger, smaller, or even hiding the toolbar altogether.

Customize WinRAR Toolbar Size

After installing WinRAR, the toolbar display on WinRAR defaults to Large buttons. Therefore, if you want to resize this toolbar to small, medium, or maximum large, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open WinRAR, click on Options -> Settings, or press the shortcut Ctrl + S.

Step 2: In the Settings interface, under the General tab, you will see that it defaults to Large buttons as described.

Step 3: To adjust the WinRAR Toolbar size, click on the downward arrow icon to select the appropriate size.

- Small buttons: Choose the small-sized WinRAR Toolbar.
- Medium buttons: Choose the medium-sized WinRAR Toolbar.

- Large buttons:Extra Large buttons:

Suppose you select Medium buttons -> Click OK, the WinRAR Toolbar interface after selection will be displayed as shown in the image below:

How to hide the WinRAR Toolbar

If you want to hide the tools on this Toolbar, you also go to Options ->Settings under General, click on Toolbars as described in the image below:
