2. Admission criteria for the Diplomatic Academy in 2021
- Admission cutoff score for undergraduate programs in 2021 based on the results of the National High School Graduation Exam:
- The guaranteed minimum entry threshold and adjusted enrollment quota for candidates applying based on the results of the 2021 National High School Graduation Exam is 22 points.
Admission cutoff score based on high school performance, direct admission, and according to the academy's specific plan:
+ The guaranteed minimum entry threshold for candidates applying based on high school performance is 6/10 points.
+ The admission cutoff score for direct admission and admission based on the academy's specific plan, based on the results of the 2021 National High School Graduation Exam, is 22 points.
3. Admission cutoff score for the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in 2020
* Admission cutoff score for undergraduate programs in 2020:
Enrollment confirmation requirements:
- Successful candidates must submit the Original Certificate of the 2020 High School Graduation Exam Results to the Academy to receive the Admission Notification.
- Submission period: From October 6, 2020, to before 5:00 PM on October 10, 2020 (by postmark if submitted by mail).
- Submission methods: by one of the following two methods:
- Direct submission: During office hours (morning: from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, afternoon: from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM) at the Undergraduate Training Department (Room 203, Building A), Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, No. 69, Chua Lang Street, Lang Thượng Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi. Candidates will receive the Admission Notification upon submission of the Certificate of Exam Results.
- Submission by mail: Candidates send their application to the following address: Undergraduate Training Department, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, No. 69, Chua Lang Street, Lang Thượng Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi. When sending, one must include an envelope with a pre-affixed stamp, clearly stating the recipient's address and phone number for the Academy to send the Admission Notification.
– Beyond the deadline, candidates who fail to submit the Certificate of Exam Results will be considered as rejecting admission and their admission results will be cancelled.
– After October 14, 2020, if admitted candidates have not received the Admission Notification, please contact the Undergraduate Training Department at the following numbers: (024) 3834.4540 (extension 2203) or hotline: 0943.482.840 for assistance.
Guidelines for enrollment procedures:
– Time: 8:30 AM on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
– Venue: Grand Hall, 1st Floor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office Building, No. 02, Le Quang Dao Street, My Dinh Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
* Minimum score threshold for the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in 2020 based on the National High School Graduation Exam results:
- The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam sets the application threshold at 20 points (on a scale of 30, without multiplying coefficients and including regional and preferential points) for all combinations in all fields. The minimum score for each subject in the combination must be greater than 1 point.
- For the English Language major, the admission score is calculated on a scale of 40, where: Admission score = Math score + Literature score + English score x 2 + preferential points x 4/3 (if any), rounded to 0.25.
- For other majors, the admission score is converted to a scale of 30, where: Admission score = (Math score + Literature score + English score x 2) x 3/4, rounded to 0.25 + preferential points (if any).
* The Admissions Council of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam announces the admission criteria based on the High School Transcript Evaluation method for the year 2020:
* Enrollment Confirmation Procedure and Official Enrollment
- Step 1: Candidates log in to the Admission Information Portal of the Academy at the website address: https://admissions.dav.edu.vn (portal opens from 5:00 PM on July 16, 2020), confirm enrollment, and print the Commitment Form.
- Step 2: Prepare the dossier including: ➢ Commitment Form for studying at the Academy (according to the Academy's template, printed from the Academy's Admission Information Portal and signed) in Step 1; ➢ International language certificate (original).
- Step 3: Submit the dossier directly (morning: from 08:30 AM to 11:30 AM, afternoon: from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM) or send the dossier by post from July 20, 2020, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2020 (postmarked) to the address: Office of Undergraduate Education - Diplomatic Academy, Room 203, Building A, No. 69, Chua Lang Street, Lang Thuong Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
- Step 4: Submit the High School Graduation Exam Results Certificate for the year 2020 (original) and receive the official Admission Notice from the Academy (to be announced later, expected to be submitted from September 5, 2020, to September 10, 2020).

The Diplomatic Academy admits students to university through combinations of main subjects A, A1, D1, D3. For each combination, the admission criteria vary, so candidates need to carefully consider when choosing the field of study to ensure the best fit with their abilities and increase their chances of admission based on the results of the national high school graduation exam.
According to the university admissions results in 2016, the highest admission score for the Diplomatic Academy was for the English Language major with the D1 subject combination at 32 points, where English is multiplied by a factor of 2. Candidates with a national high school graduation exam score of 24 points still have the chance to be admitted to the university if they choose the International Law major.
