Photoshop for iPad has been equipped with new tools

Adobe has just updated the Photoshop app for iPadOS, bringing along a range of new photo editing tools including the Smudge and Sponge tools, which are editing tools that have been integrated into Photoshop for computers.

Among them, the Smudge tool is used for blending colors, or even users can use it to simulate real-life painting, according to Adobe. Additionally, this tool also includes finger-swipe effects to smear paint.

The Sponge tool is used to saturate or desaturate areas in the image to achieve desired color tones. To access and use these tools, users access the Adjustments tool icon. Additionally, Adobe recommends users to use the Apple Pencil with the Photoshop app.

Alongside Smudge and Sponge tools, the latest Photoshop update for iPadOS introduces a range of new tools and features allowing users to adjust the brightness balance of Camera Raw images. Labels for tool icons are also added and displayed when users hover over each tool.

Some other features and tools available in the app enable users to combine images with graphics and layers. Features like Object Selection and Select Subject allow users to blend and enhance images even further.
