Starting several months ago, in order to prepare, helicopters were used to lift the transparent glass staircase onto the roof of the building.

Despite employing highly experienced pilots, significant damages occurred during the process of moving Skyline into position. Adjacent building awnings were shattered, and a window sustained severe damage.
The Skyslide is part of the Skyspace LA project – a special endeavor spanning 4 floors of the building (from the 69th to the 72nd floor). Upon completion, the project will feature a slide, an observation deck, and a rooftop bar.

Particularly, while standing at the observation deck, visitors can see Catalina Island over 35km away from the Pacific Coast and the Santa Monica Mountains to the San Fernando Valley.
