Mrs. Phương Anh's family from Hanoi embarks on a successful and memorable journey experiencing the ripe rice season in Mù Cang Chải.
Adventurous Family Expedition: Conquering Mù Cang Chải
Traveling from Hanoi to Mù Cang Chải by car is a journey of over 300km. Instead of tackling the long distance in one stretch, Mrs. Phương Anh and her spouse decided to break the journey into smaller segments to ensure the whole family could rest, especially their daughter. They divided the route into 3 days and 2 nights: Hanoi – Trạm Tấu (1 night), Trạm Tấu – Tú Lệ (1 night), and on the final day from Tú Lệ to Mù Cang Chải before returning to Hanoi.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the hot spring baths, but coming back? Not so much! The route back is quite distant and challenging. There's a lot of climbing involved, especially if you're staying in bungalow 1 near the summit of the homestay... With a baby in tow, the family decided to dine and drink here.
Day 2: Trạm Tấu – Le Champ Tú Lệ
Day 2 greeted us with beautiful sunshine as we checked in at Le Champ Tú Lệ. Upon arrival, Le Champ Tú Lệ resembled a European ancient village. We decided to dine at the nearby Phố Núi restaurant, which was quite delicious. We indulged in a local specialty, sticky rice, which left a delightful impression on our taste buds.

It takes about an hour by car from Tú Lệ to Mù Cang Chải. We only made it to Mâm Xôi hill as the locals said the 'Horse's Mane' was farther and harder to reach. Here, the whole family rented motorbike taxis to ascend, which was quite a new and somewhat scary experience... The terraced rice fields were adorned in a lush green color of rice plants, blending seamlessly with the breathtaking natural scenery. We rented traditional clothes here, along with accessories. We purchased flowers from local ethnic children selling them. Personally, I have a penchant for traditional ethnic attire, so I always desire for my child to dress likewise.
