For Ahmad Darroby (28), attending his ex-girlfriend's wedding was an opportunity to express his well wishes uniquely and earn admiration from many.
According to reports, Ahmad and his ex-girlfriend had been dating since 2015. Sadly, they parted ways last year after 8 years together. She decided to marry someone else earlier this year.
Upon receiving the wedding invitation, Ahmad decided to attend in a quirky ninja turtle outfit, a gesture to bless his ex-girlfriend on her special day.
Sharing about his actions, he mentioned intending to just drop by to congratulate and not stay long at the wedding, so he spent around 50 ringgit (over 260,000 dong) to rent this adorable outfit to appear at the ceremony.
'Two or three days before the wedding, I kept thinking about how to attend her wedding. So, I rented a Ninja Turtle costume and when I tried it on, I still felt extremely nervous and awkward,' Ahmad said.
Ahmad said that when he arrived at the wedding venue, nobody knew his true identity. Even while taking photos with the bride, he pretended to wipe tears as if to show regret. Only after being recognized by the bride's friend did he take off the mask, surprising everyone around.
'They behaved very naturally because they didn't even know the Ninja Turtle at the wedding was me,' he shared.
Besides, Ahmad Darroby also shared that he stayed to take souvenir photos with the bride and groom, chatting with everyone at the wedding before leaving happily.
Regarding the ninja turtle costume, the 28-year-old man stated that choosing this outfit was not to cause harm or disrupt the wedding but to bless the couple. Sharing this video on TikTok is just to preserve it as a memory.
