In October, Kuo stated that the models would eliminate physical buttons and replace them with new solid-state buttons. At that time, Kuo mentioned that two additional Taptic Engines inside the iPhone would provide haptic feedback to simulate the sensation of pressing buttons that do not physically move. This design is similar to the Home button on newer iPhones or the trackpad on newer Macs.However, in a Medium post today, this analyst stated that the upcoming iPhone series will continue to use physical buttons like the previous generation.
