Once highly anticipated, Overwatch 2 faced ongoing troubles after its release. The publisher, after a period of silence, has recently started sending positive signals.
Despite reaching 25 million users in the first 10 days, Overwatch 2 couldn't erase the negative impact it left. Issues like server malfunctions, overpricing of items, and system errors on launch day led to a disappointing experience for the community.
In particular, the publisher faced criticism for matchmaking system flaws. Specifically, the game matched players with vastly different skill levels instead of similar ones. This severely affected the gaming experience for both sides. High-skilled players found matches boring, while newcomers felt almost powerless against stronger opponents, reducing their enthusiasm for Overwatch 2.
After prolonged complaints, even demands from users to abandon the game, Blizzard has recently addressed two lingering major issues. The latest blog post by Game Director Aaron Keller revealed that Overwatch 2's On Fire feature will be updated. The game system will highlight a moment in the match where players make a significant impact, such as taking down the entire opposing team. Currently, this feature is criticized for being inconsistent.

Additionally, the slow progress in completing the game and providing an unpleasant experience for players will be addressed. The developer promises a new system to replace the current one, offering more features. Players can track specific level progress quickly. However, the completion timeline for the plan is still undecided. Keller hopes it will be released by the end of this year.
Blizzard's final resolution of in-game issues brings great joy to the fans. Overwatch 2 hopes these adjustments will bring more stability to the game. Currently, the game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
