In recent days, the global Honkai: Star Rail gaming community has been buzzing about the game-breaking team-carrying capabilities of the latest 5-star DPS, Dan Heng Moonlight Glimmer. On some tier lists, this character has even 'usurped' Seele with its incredibly high damage output. Now, the Honkai: Star Rail gaming community is once again excited to discover that Jingliu has just received a significant buff and possesses unprecedented effects.

Specifically, Jingliu has just received a series of buffs to basic stats with an increase in both attack and defense, while losing 4 points of speed. In return, she becomes the first character in Honkai: Star Rail to have a speed bonus, totaling 9 points – 5 points higher than before. Regarding the ultimate skill, requiring 140 energy, there is no change, making Tingyun an excellent match for Jingliu.
Jingliu's characteristics have also undergone significant changes. When in enhanced state, Jingliu's ultimate skill deals an additional 20% damage, and her basic skill also helps prioritize Action Skill by 10%. In addition, the trait increasing critical rate by 12% has been changed to 37% critical damage, a very beneficial exchange.

To gauge the strength of the new version of Jingliu in Honkai: Star Rail, Mytour conducted a small calculation: with a 5% base critical rate, 8% from the Starry Arena accessory set, and 50% from the talent, you only need... 7% critical rate from relics to activate the basic damage boost and skill effects from the Starry Arena. This means players can easily achieve over 200% critical damage with Jingliu, and even a 100% critical rate if lucky.
Another significant buff for Jingliu is the redesign of her light hat. Its new effects are as follows:
- 20% increase in critical damage.
- When an ally is attacked or loses health, the wearer of this hat gains 1 layer of Eclipse, up to 3 layers. Each layer increases damage by 14% for the next attack.
- When there are 3 layers of Eclipse, the character will unleash an additional attack ignoring 12% of the enemy's defense. This effect will disappear after the wearer attacks.

With a skill set that can drain the team's HP, it's evident that Jingliu can activate 3 layers of Eclipse in each of her turns. While Honkai: Star Rail players will need a powerful healer to keep the team alive in Jingliu's hands, the damage she deals promises to be quite overwhelming.
On the flip side, Jingliu no longer has the Ice damage boost effect. Losing the additional revival effect (similar to Seele's Reanimation talent), Jingliu can no longer 'abuse' Bronya's buffs as in the previous version. But overall, these changes turn Jingliu into a 'super carry' that holds great potential when paired with characters capable of buffing damage and energy like Tingyun.

Currently, miHoYo is still testing version 1.3 of Honkai: Star Rail, and Jingliu may continue to receive new changes in the coming weeks. Regardless, she appears to be a very powerful DPS character, potentially becoming a new meta and making it much easier for players to overcome the challenges of the Insect Concerto.
