Agility
Sun Wukong: When it comes to agility, Sun Wukong ranks among the top flexible Assassins, capable of making numerous maneuvers. Even in the early stages of the match, his second ability, Shadow Clone, allows this Arena of Valor hero to dash forward a short distance. Coupled with the 1+3 combo, he can stealthily approach enemies while gaining a powerful speed boost.

Yan: This hero possesses a set of skills that offer remarkable flexibility. With the second ability, Dragon Strike, and the third ability, Sacred Blade, Yan can directly maneuver towards targets with ease. The second ability can be used twice when combined with the internal skill, Heavenly Sword Technique, and has a relatively quick cooldown. In the late game, when Yan reaches level 12, Sacred Blade can help him maintain an incredibly long internal point, allowing him to dance around continuously in battle.

Both of these heroes are quite agile and flexible. Their skill sets enable them to easily approach enemies, retreat from combat with various speed-boosting mechanisms, and dash forward. According to Mytour's assessment, Yan edges out Sun Wukong in this aspect because if he can maintain his rhythm, he can continuously dance and brawl or utilize combos to escape quickly. Yan 8/10, Sun Wukong 7.5/10.
Annoyance Level
Yan: This card holds some rather annoying control effects, notably stun, knock-up, and slow. Specifically, when enhanced, Yan's first ability can momentarily stun enemies and cause knock-up effects. When quickly combined with the ultimate ability, Yan's enhanced strikes become extremely irritating, dealing considerable damage and draining a significant amount of the opponent's health.

Sun Wukong: In addition to his shocking damage output, Sun Wukong's greatest strength lies in his stealth ability and the ability to close in on enemies. In situations where he can ambush isolated targets, Sun Wukong's combo not only inflicts substantial damage but also causes various effects such as stunning multiple targets within 1 second. Therefore, in the early game when facing Yan solo, Sun Wukong can stealthily approach, unleash his skills, wait for Yan to exhaust his abilities, then retreat, causing considerable annoyance.

As mentioned above, Sun Wukong's advantage lies in his ability to ambush and harass Yan with his stealth capabilities and formidable burst damage. However, if playing on an even playing field, especially when Yan builds armor and adopts a steel mentality, Sun Wukong's path becomes far from easy. Yan 7.5/10, Sun Wukong 8/10.
Recovery Ability
Yan: When it comes to recovery ability, Yan is highly rated despite having only one healing mechanism in his kit. Each enhanced strike on a target helps this Arena of Valor hero regain a considerable amount of health, enough to give him the foundation to re-engage in combat. As the game progresses, Yan's recovery becomes stronger as he can continuously spam enhanced skills thanks to his ultimate.
Ngộ Không: Unlike Yan, Sun Wukong is at a disadvantage when it comes to recovery ability due to lacking a healing mechanism and having to rely on minions, monsters, and items to sustain himself.

In this matchup, Yan clearly outperforms Sun Wukong. Yan's healing stats are quite impressive; each enhanced strike can replenish his health. This somewhat limits the need for him to retreat frequently and allows him to move for ganks more easily.Sun Wukong 6/10, Yan 8/10.
Resilience
Yan: Although not classified among the top tanky Warriors, Yan still possesses self-defense skills that make him less susceptible to damage from enemy combos. As mentioned earlier, the second ability, Dragon Strike, grants Yan strong damage immunity and can be spammed continuously. This allows our Arena of Valor hero to block a considerable amount of damage when diving into combat. The third ability, Sacred Blade, also grants Yan 50% damage immunity for a short period, further enhancing his resilience when combined with his combo.

Sun Wukong: As a pure Assassin, this fellow is quite fragile, very susceptible to burst damage from an enemy combo, even from Mages like Veera, Krixi,... Almost all of this Arena of Valor hero's abilities focus on dealing damage rather than resilience. Therefore, to avoid being caught by enemies, you need to quickly surprise them with your combo; if your combo fails, it will be very difficult to escape.
Of course, when it comes to durability, Sun Wukong cannot surpass Yan. To help this guy have a smooth childhood and level up quickly, Sun Wukong players should rally their teammates to provide full support if facing an alert Yan. However, ganking Yan is not an easy task, especially when he still has his ultimate ability. Later on, when Yan has Thorned Bracelet or Blade of Eternity, Sun Wukong has even less reason to target him and should focus on the main damage dealers or other squishy heroes. As for Yan, despite his good resilience and decent healing, it's not easy to catch Sun Wukong because he can stealth twice. Therefore, just ignore each other and focus on hunting down and defeating the main threats.Yan 7.5/10, Sun Wukong 6.5/10.
Burst Damage Capability
Yan: This Arena of Valor hero possesses an incredibly high amount of damage, capable of dealing damage over time rather than a single burst. He becomes particularly powerful at level 12. When combining enhanced strikes with his ultimate ability, this card gains a significant damage boost, not to mention if used a second time, it will deal even more damage. At the peak moment, Yan can easily approach and catch main damage dealers with his combo as well as sustain long battles, easily turning the tide.

Ngộ Không: We're no strangers to seeing a Sun Wukong one-shotting squishy heroes late game. This guy is renowned as the fastest and most explosive damage dealer in Arena of Valor. In the early game, if Sun Wukong manages to land critical hits consistently, allowing him to snowball, it's advantageous for him to become a monster without needing to wait for late game. However, if luck isn't on your side and you can't secure those critical hits, then focus on farming and wait for late game. Once you have enough equipment, luck won't play as big of a role in dealing damage.

Both of these Arena of Valor heroes possess abundant and astonishing damage. However, reaching their maximum power threshold isn't easy, especially in the early game, where it's a matter of who plays smarter and receives better support from teammates. If Yan is lucky, more precisely, anticipates when Sun Wukong activates his stealth ability with precision, he can dodge it promptly. As for Sun Wukong, being a squishy hero, you need to be more cunning. Wait for Yan to farm minions, then engage lightly and retreat. With two stealth abilities, Sun Wukong can easily bait out Yan's ultimate ability or disrupt his rhythm.Yan 8/10, Sun Wukong 9/10.
